Every individuals needs are different. At ME Optometrists we understand this and evaluate every individual according to their personal specific needs. Your eyesight is precious and you only ever have one pair of eyes, so it is important that you have regular eye examinations at least every two years whether you need spectacles or not. Some eye disorders symptomless and without regular eye examinations would not otherwise be detected.

EYE EXAMINATION
Carried out by qualified optometrists your eye examination is a thorough health check that is individually tailored to your needs. High standards along with the very best in optical equipment determine your prescription and the current health status of your eyes. Wherever necessary, further tests may be carried out to ensure you have the best possible care.
HISTORY AND SYMPTOMS
Many eye problems are related to physical health and hereditary factors. This is why we question your physical health and any problems associated with family can be important.
INTERNAL EYE PRESSURE
Internal eye pressure can indicate whether there is a presence of Glaucoma or not. The condition is usually only found in older adults.
VISUAL FIELD SCREENING
This test checks your all round vision and can indicate neurological problems and the loss of field vision.
COLOUR PERCEPTION
his test indicates colour deficiency sometimes called colour blindness.
MUSCLE BALANCE ANALYSIS
This test determines if your eyes are co-ordinated and are working together properly.
PUPIL REFLEXES
This examines your pupil’s reaction to light and can indicate neurological problems.
REFRACTION
Objective and Subjective tests determine whether you are longsighted, shortsighted, astigmatic, presbyopic or require no optical correction at all.
